there abolutely has to be a thread on here somewhere about how to remove the stock spoiler but i have searched and searched and found tons of "spoilers for sale" and "painted spoilers" but nothing on how to remove the stock spoiler/lip. i know its not bolted to the car but i don't want to mess anything up. if anyone could let me in on this information or give me a link to a previous post it would be much appreciated.

fairly easy, first pop out the inner hatch liner. ( its held in by a bunch of clips and it comes off good if you get it started on each side (driver and passenger)before removing the whole piece.
you will now have access to the bolts. you will see a few holes in the under part of the hatch. the spoiler is held on by 2 10mm bolts (outside) and 2 pop in tabs inside.
you need to remove the outside bolts and take some dental floss. fishing line or even a credit card and run it between the spoiler and the hatch to loosen the 3m tape. after you do this you should be able to pull on the spoiler enough to pop the tabs out.
here is what the holes on the hatch look like for reference. pm me if you have furthur questions
