Default question for those with J-spec tails on 03-05z

being we had to shave a little off our plugs to install the j-spec lights is it possible to switch them back out and put the stock in...i dont think i want to leave my j-specs in for the winter i wanted to put my old ones and tint them. but will that plug fit in the old light now that it was modified a little?

i doubt it but just wanted to ask...

guess the only other option is putting the stock 06 lights on b/c that plug is the same as the j-spec

u missunderstand. i wasnt "hating" on you. my first post might have seemed a lil bit harsh i agree. ALl i said was diff strokes for diff folks. altezza lights are more or less frowned upon in here. just a fact.

Are u referring to the plug where the bulb goes into the housing? why dont u just get a new plug, prolly 5 buks at the most..

I don't know the answer to your first question. However I would like to let you know that the stock 06 lights are not the same as the J-Spec. Installation of the stock 06 lights do not require any modifications to the wiring harness plug. I also do not think it is neccessary to remove your taillights for the winter. They were designed to be used all year round, it's not like they are some expensive aftermarket wheels.

On a side note I like the J-spec lights a lot. In fact I got rid of my 06 Led Tailights and ordered a set of J-spec Lights for my own car. Best of luck.

thanks...

i know they are meant to be on all year round...but with the amount of snow we had last year all i know is there was salt all over my car and i hate that...not saying the salt will ruin my tail lights if it gets on there but id like to keep them in perfect condition...i think anyone that pays $600 for tail lights would want them in perfect condition...and i want to be able to swap back and forth b/c i want to tint my old ones black but i wont bother tinting them if i cant put them back in
