350Z with sunroof

Sounds interesting. I would like to see pics. But, I have to say, I would be pissed if every single Z out there had a sunroof all of a sudden! There was probably a reason Nissan didn't make a sunroof in the first place!

sunroof/t-top
I bought the Z, in part, because it doesn't have a hole in the roof. I have been forced, over the years, to buy cars with options I did not want and paid extra for them. I would not buy a Z with either option. A hole in the roof is still a reduction in the car's rigidity and is just one more way to extract more money from the customer.
Also, aftermarket sunroofs will reduce its value when you trade it in. If it was not an original option, its value on the used car maket is less. My last 5 cars had sunroofs or t-tops and it burned me up to have to pay extra for an option that reduced my headroom and increased the car's price.

I HATE THEM!
Boomer--OK, that's enough. Anything else?

I had an 86 Z with t-tops, and they did leak at one point. It was a quick and simple easy fix, however. I just go tnew stripping (the black rubber stuff) and my car didn't leak anymore. It was also about 13 years old at the time it started to leak. I don't think that's bad at all!

Contrary to the opinion, cars with sunroofs from the factory tend to have more structural rigidity than those without. That's why in many race series manufacturers take a car w/ a sunroof first, then take out the sunroof then put more bars in place of it. Cars w/ factory sunroofs already have more structural reinforcement than those without... An example would be the current E46 3-series BMW, the sunroof version actually has a higher torsional rigidity than the non-sunroof version. Interesting eh?
