I have been putting serious thought into this. I have the car I posted in the pic below and I think making it a targa top would really set it apart. I have two local shops that will do it and they are both extremely good at what they do. I am going in for a price quote here within the next 7-10 days and I will let you guys know what I find out. /crossfingers

 

wow, beautiful car man. Let us know what the shops say as far as cost. I'm still in the market to eventually do this. I got sidetracked boosting my car, then buying a house, and now getting married....haha...but eventually the money will turn back to the Z!!!

 

What is soo wrong with a 'vert Z?

I like the photoshopped pic too but the idea of water leaks or noise
would keep me from doing it.

Hell yeah i am interested in doing a targa to mine. I figure i'm gonna have a roll cage soon anyway, and other chassis support items. Playing around with paint, here's my chop. Not perfect, but i love the look.

yea it has been done.
At least 2 have done it already.
A 350z in Tulsa, OK owned by a body shop and I guess the one above me.
i was going to do it 100% and started calling around and got a 7k quote. =O no thx!

Where did you get your estimate at? Ive asked some shops in the Chicagoland area... I got quoted a pretty decent price.

Agreed. Nice looking mod for show. But, I'd have to PULSAR the rear hatch too.

 

I like this mod someone should mass produce CF targa tops and make it around 3k to do and id be all over it and possibly keep my car forever

yeah, it's real. I've seen this car in person in Denver. It's usually parked out in front of the 6th street shops during good weather.
