Default 06 lights vs hid kit

Would i be just as happy getting the hid kit for like 175 bucks, or is it just more worth it to spend a shat load to get the 06 headlights?

nothing beats the 06 headlights, especially once they're blacked out or painted. but even when they're OEM they are awsome. way better than 03-05 HID.

you get the HID for high and low, a true projector housing which gives you an awsome precise cut-off line, 3 little LED side bulbs, and an overall fancier and cleaner looking upgraded headlight.

2006 Bi-Xenons for the win...

I was first impressed with the 06 projector being larger, but then when you look at the rest of the headlight, the projector starts to lose its appeal. I really like the 03-06 headlight and taillight, looks a lot cleaner, simpler and meshes with the car better. That’s just my opinion. I have a 03 Silverstone and plan on getting HID’s. Last I check there was a seller at the marketplace.

I was about to buy an HID upgrade for my Base '04 350Z but went with 06 lights instead. The connectors didn't fit each other but it was only one hour of labor to re-splice the wiring. I got an incredible deal for the lights from Coz at Concept Z in Phoenix. Nissan quoted me $1,800 including tax, which was a joke.

I think it was worth the extra over the HID kit becuase the car will look like an '06 when I get around to changing the tail lights.

the only problem I see is mounting the projector to the housing. I like the S2000 projectors, one day I'll get the courage to try

Ill be honest I think its going to come down to preference. My aftermarket kits with the stock projectors do a wonderful job and have a very clear cut off line, with probably close to triple the light output of the stock halogen, this is from experience with my own car and one of my kits.

OEM is OEM and if thats what your really after than spending the serious cash for the 06 headlights is for you. But you wont be disapointed with my kit in the 350z. I personally dont like those 06 headlights and love the 03-05 style.

Either way If you would like a kit just shoot me a PM and I can get you one ordered.
