Default Help Please - Side Markers

I just got White Side Markers and want to install them this weekend.

Do I have to remove the front bumper or is there a way to get in there by just removing the tires?

I would appreciate and instructions?

Thanks!!!

I think you mean the front lower JDM accessory "clear" bumper reflectors?

You HAVE to completely remove all the covers under your front end, jack up your passenger side, remove the passenger splash well, and remove the passenger side of the front bumper for installation.

If you have any hesitation of taking apart the front end of your car i suggest that you dont and find someone that wil do so without concern.

You don't have to remove your front bumper to install the sidemarkers, but it would make life easier; especially if you don't have the "S" shaped phillip screwdriver for the passenger side.

I installed my LED sidemarkers without removing the bumpers. I used part of skiddazzle's DIY bumper removal pix for reference to remove the underside and respective front wheel well. Once you get underneath the car, you'll know what I mean. The driver side was a piece of cake, ~ 10 minutes. The passenger side was a PITA, but doable, ~ 30 minutes. This is due to the window washer fluid bottle being in the way. You'll benefit from having the special phillip screwdriver that was mentioned above, as well as having small hands and skinny arms .

Thanks, I may just wait till my car has to go to Nissan for something.

Is it really an S shaped screw driver? Or just a 90 degree bend or something?

Thanks!

Ok, so your going to waste 30~ minutes phukin around with that stupid "s" curve screwdriver when you can just take the 2 extra minutes it takes to get the passenger side of the bumper off which is NOT HARD at all and save yourself 28~ minutes? AND you can just use your regular screwdriver to install?

Trust me your making your job and life a lot more difficult to do it without just taking the passenger side of the bumper off. Youll save a lot of go**ammits and *uckyous... while your working and bitchin about why nissan made such a simple piece such a trouble to get to.

It's basically two 90 degree bends, just like an S.

not JDM, if they were they wouldnt be so expensive, JDM is smoked.

and as was said, you need to remove about 3 screws from the bottom where the aero plate is attached, 2 screws inside the wheel well(after you remove the wheel well) and maybe a few of those plugs on the top of the bumper, just enough so you can pull it away enough to fit your arm in, dependent on how big your arm is.

I DID say it was a JDM "accessory" which it is. We do not have it as a standard accessory in the states, they have to be flown in from JAPAN where they are a Japanese Directed Marketplace item.

The JDM OEM part is the smoked amber ones. Thats what I bought for my LeMans Sunset because the clear ones were just too bright for my tastes....

sorry I just hadnt heard of something from japan reffered to as JDM, it always referred to OEM. no offense meant.

however I agree, on some colors the white looks too bright, blue and silvers pull it off just fine, but lemans, brickyard, and black I think it stands out too much, also on white its too much white. of course thats just my opinion.

I smoked my stock side markers (side note - and my rear turn signal/reverse lights as well) this weekend. It took maybe 10 minutes total to get both the fronts off without removing the bumper. The rears I had to remove the bumper and that took no longer then 15 minutes (most of the time figuring out that I had to take the bumper off - lol). It took no longer then 2 hours to do all of them with most of that time smoking them and waiting to dry.
