Default Carbon fiber doors

so ive seen people say when you buy them you should get a roll cage.....i was j/w how much structural support you lose....i didnt really understand that, and when you get them, can you move everything from the factory door to them....window,handles,motor for the window, everything?

Depends on the brand I guess, but you are loosing all the structural support in the doors. If you were to get T-boned with CF doors and no cage, your pretty much screwed. You can swap everything from the OEM doors over to the carbon fiber doors, or you can leave everything off for more weight savings.

Are the C/F doors just outer door skins or complete replacements inside and out? If they are just door skins then you wouldn't lose any structural integrity. If, however, you lose your side impact beams b/c they are entire doors, then you should definitely have a roll cage installed.

I just have an accident about 2 weeks ago. The left side was smashed. I came out with no bruises, just some small scratches on my right forearm.

The doors saved my ***.

I say keep the doors bro. Never know when something bad's gonna happen.

You lose the side impact beam. If you plan to run at a track I believe they require a cage with the doors.

No reason to even think about getting the CF doors without a cage. To do so would be idiotic. You have even more chance of getting hit on the street than on the track.
