Default How to attach OEM spoiler?

So I just bought an OEM style carbon fiber spoiler. Tried to attach it and ran into a little problem. The damn thing won't hold down on the ends. The middle section holds great but the last 2 inches or so on either end don't hold down. It sticks for a few minutes then slowly pulls up. I don't know what to do here, I called the company up and they want me to send it back for another one, but I know it's gonna be the same thing and don't want to waste my money on shipping this damn thing. My question is, what can I use to attach this thing other than regular double sided tape? Maybe something that will actually be strong enough to hold it down.

if your using 3M's double tape (black w/red pull off) then? if your not using that do, that stuff has held mine down w/zero problems, i think its actually refered to as body/moulding tape? can get it at any parts chain store, advance, autozone, etc.

Yea, that's the stuff I'm using. Well, actually mine is grey with the red but it's the 3M body moulding. I've used it to hold on my sideskirts and rear skirt but it just isn't working on this application. Which spoiler do you have on your car?

Did you wipe down/clean your hatch? Adhesive don't work so good on greasy/dirty surfaces.

It's clean but I'm gonna try to strip off all the polish that's on there too. I'm still not sure if that will do it. This thing seems like it has to flex A LOT to fit right.

The 3M tape doesn't work well in high tension areas that want to pull up. Try a silicone RTV adhesive and something to hold the spoiler down in the proper positioon until it cures. That's what I do on my Veilside V1 body kit parts that want to pull up and they have not let go since.

Thanks, I'll try that tonight. How long do you think I should let it sit clamped down for? Overnight long enough?
