Red face How to install front Lip??

**I've searched this all Z forums and the general internet**

I just got a VS1 lip and am trying to figure out how to install it ...The bottom portion that will be flush with the underbody) extends past the mounting bolts that holds the underbody plastic peice - Do I need to trim the VS1 lip or do I use the OE bolts to secure the bottom of the lip?

I've read that others just use 3M double-sided tape to secure the top of the lip to the bumper...I'm planning to do the same.

Any pics of the process (or just what it looks like underneath) would be greatly appreicated.

VS1 as in veilside ver.1? I have a real veilside lip and everything matched up. The fittment was really tight tho... I re-used the OEM bolts to secure the bottom of the lip to the underbody plastic piece. the lip also came with double-sided tape already on it.

Hmm...there shouldn't need to be much explanation for this one.

*it was a knock-off from JDMZ33.

I just wasn't sure if I was supposed to use the OEM bolts from the plastic under tray or not. Changing out engine parts (headers, exhaust, plenum,...) is what I've always done...but exterior stuff always takes me 4X longer - just not my thing!

thanks,
Peter

okay, so I finnaly had a chance to test fit the lip and it looks good, but there's a small vertical lip just under the OE bumper that's in the way for me to use the under body panel bolts...here's the pic of what I'm talking about:

am I supposed to just cut this off?

thanks,
Peter

@first350
I have the same lip and I will have to install it soon. It would be great if you could send me some pics or hints or whatever. Just your impressions. Thanks in advance

Peter...don't worry about that piece. It doesn't get in the way of the install. Just apply double-sided tape to the back of the veilside lip (the part were it meets the center part of the bumper) then using the 4 bolts (2 on each side) found under the car and bolt it on. You'll see how easy it is once you look under the car.

oh yeah...i forgot to add. I don't know how the fittment is on the replica version but my real one was a REALLY TIGHT fit. It would be easier if you had some help holding the lip in place while you bolt it on. It took me a lot longer than expected trying to install it by myself.
