Default All Aftermarket Leather Owners...

I know when most of you got your aftermarket leather it looked "puffy"...but can any of you post "before" and "after" pics of how the leather looks now? does it look "tighter"?

that's what I thought...then when people started posting pics of their leather seats everyone was saying how the leather looks too "loose"...the guys who got the leather replied that it would tighten up after they been there for a while...that's why i'm curious as to see how they look now....

I have the Nissan "approved" after-market leather kit. I think there is only one that is Nissan approved. At least that is what I have been told. I tried to get it directly from an after-market leather shop and they said they would be glad to install it, but it had to be purchased from a dealer.

I purcahsed mine from the dealer and the dealer installed it. It is not puffy. I will try to take pictures this weekend.

Send PM if you have other questions.

You should see those seats now though. Those covers tightened up to fit like a condom on a watermellon.

Yup, my leather (Katzkin) is still a little puffy. I'm not unhappy with it though...it's fine.

Now someone with aftermarket leather has replied.

So the Katzkin Leather is okay? Does it look terribly puffy or pretty good? Can you post pic? The guy at atd1.com says it looks just like the nissan leather but i want the opinion of someone who actually has it on their car. thanks

I think it looks OK. It is a little puffy, not like factory.

Here are some pics (under 350z, Katzkin):

looks good to me. Is that the orange color from atd1.com? The swatch on their webpage looks much darker. But they said they had a burnt orange color to match the z's exactly, im assuming thats it?

I'm not familiar with adt1.com or their products. If they sell Katzkin leather then it should match mine. The Katzkin color in my car is Maize. It is more yellow than the burnt orange.

At the time I had my leather installed I was unable to find a match for the burnt orange from Katzkin or Classic Soft Trim.

Talking new classic pumpkin leather

Having the new pumpkin Classic Soft Trim leather installed in my black Z on Saturday........dead on match for factory BO. I don't like the perf panels so am opting for the solid leather. Entire seat is leather also, no vynal. I will post my thoughts on install and fit and color next week.

Default Got mine from Classic soft trim at time of purchase

Mine seems a little looser than factory. But I am not dissapointed at all. They were even able to do it with side air bags without voiding the Nissan warranty. I wanted burnt orange but they couldn't match it so I went with charcoal. Sort of wish I had pushed for the BO but I am a very happy camper anyway.

If I can get my hands on a digital camera I'll post a picture
