Default smoked taillights

so i had the overlays for a couple months...wasnt 100% with em though, so i peeled them off. ive also used the VHT spray once before on another set...thinkin about doin it again. i change my mind all the time haha. but what about havin the body shop spray them for me?
i heard somethin like spray them with 80% clear and 20% black. anyone do this to their tails? still transparent enough? id love some input on this cuz i want those things black again

I had my shop do it. I opted to go with a lighter shade.

yea it seems like that way it would be as glossy as the paint on your car...if not more. i tried searchin it to see some pics...NOTHIN. so all im curious about is the transparency. same as the Niteshades?

I think they're glossy and the transparency should remain if your shop knows what they're doing:

never done it before but im thinking bout smoking out a pair of jdm ones. i saw it done on some kouki RPS13's. i asked where i could find a set only to find out it was custom painted. so i dont think it would look bad on a Z. I took this at the 2005 D1 opener in irwindale.

Nice how you do it video. Music is very good as well. I only went with two light coats of VHT and two light coats of clear. Mine is still looking good after 2 years. Instead of doing all that polishing I just went with a clay bar / 1000 grit and then polished it up by hand. Mine is not quite the shine of yours but, it worked out pretty good. I also used a little crystal guard which is said to harden the surface. No light scratches yet.....

I'll post up pictures of my tint when photobucket maintenance in finished. Doh !!

Again, great video !!!!
