Hey Guys!

So I had another ? reguarding the interior dash light gages...so in my 2006 z it looks like the face plate is black with the orange numbers etc.... what color is the LED light behind the faceplate? what would it look like if i ordered a black faceplate with blue numbers???

The LED's are amber. The ONLY way to do what you want to do is take apart your entire gauge cluster and send it to ACREE. He will solder in new LED's and I believe either replace the gauge face or remove the orange film from the stock ones.

 

but i mean if the LED's are amber and i have blue words, what color does that make? i just want to play down the amber without going through the hassel of sending my sh*t to acree and doing surgery on my baby....

 

It won't look blue. It'll be a weird color. The only way to shift the color from amber to blue would be with a few layers of blue which would cut down the light A LOT. If it bugs you that much just dim your gauges down to off at night. haha

You ever pee in a toilet full of blue water.

blue and yellow make green so amber wouls be more brown. Orange and blue you get it.

 

I did exactly what you suggested, I went to search, typed in ****, and all I got was a bunch of crap.
