Default OEM Seat heating pads

ok this may sound a little crazy, but let say i wanted to remove the heating pads out of my OEM touring seats and transfer them into a set of OEM cloth seats. would this be tons of work? I may be switching to cloths for several reasons soon, but i want to take my heated seats with me. Are there heating pads in the bottom cushion, and the back/upper cushion? or just the bottom? also will there be like a hole where the heating pad once was? will the seat covers on both the leathers and cloths go back on tightly after peeling them back a little to remove heating pads?

No idea but it sounds like it's not worth the trouble...

each seat has two heat pads, one in the back, one in the seat

the pads are sewn into the leather on each side, cut the thread and the pad will be released. Shouldnt be too hard to do. You can stick your hand between the heat pad and the leather cover.

Hardest part will be sewing them back into the cloth seats.

you can buy heaters pretty cheap that you put in yourself....instead of ripping apart your seat.....i dunno about using the factory switch though..

Did anyone figure this out yet???

1. I do not mind destroying or unstiching my thread on my oem leather seats. I just want to transfer the pad to the cloth seats. can it be done??

2. ALSO, If the cloth seats i buy are NOT powered can i just remove the cloth covers and remove my leather covers and install the cloth on my seats that the car came with so i can keep the powered seats. THEN transfer the heat pads over???
