It doesn't! I also have a switch wired into mine that depending on how it's set will allow the car to be started with the key like normal as well, which is prob best for service appts., valet, etc.

If you have to use the key in the factory ignition then the mod is not rice but useless cheesy rice.

It's ok a lot of people would say some of my own stuff is cheesy useless rice too.

Do what ya like, I say.
