for my g35 coupe w/ low sideskirts i use takata ramps then a low profile jack.. stock jack does not work for me regardless... hope that helps. You can also try going over some 2x4's but your best bet is to find those low profile takata ramps..

if u look at the old jack point and project about 8" in to the car you will see another rail type support that runs down the car. it is flat. and that is a suitable jack point. it is made for jack stands really. but I do not recomend using the factory jack for this location since it can not lock into place and may slip.

If you're going to install your exhaust, you could have some ramps and just back up onto them backwards. Just make sure someone is there helping you on where to stop to car before it flies off the ramp.

You could also use a few 2x4's and move the car up on fronts forwards too. Then you can just use the jackpoints.

I use velcro.

Stair step boards. I had an accident the other week while doing this and my front lip has some issues now. If you can get some low-pro ramps it will help.

A few friends and I installed my D-Spec shocks a few weeks ago. Let me tell you this, it literally took us longer to raise the car then to install the shocks. Originally I was thinking of starting with the stock jack and then once I got it up a bit, moving to a conventional... but guess what, no clearance! Keep in mind I have the central 20 sides, but they look very similar and are about the same size as the ings. The BEST way to raise the car is to go from the rear, from the pumpkin. Then, once you get it high enough, get another jack and raise one side, insert jack stands, then do the other side.

thx for replies....i was also thinking about your solution synth19
i think i´ll have not probs with the rear but i´m not quiet sure about the front...but i still have 6 months to find a good solution for that

@taurran: wow sad to hear that, cause your car inspired me to do the same to mine always loved the way your car looks like ( even although i had to buy a new us oem rear bumper-->600$ unpainted!!! wtf :-P )

btw here is a quick pic of the my Z and what it look right now (not washed and just a quick shot)

i´ll wash her at the weekend and take some better pics then

fronts i use takata low down ramps. and rear i jack up using the differential. this is wen i use my friends lift. front lift points are subframe next to where the cats sits...and rear points i use the jack mount points with 4x4s cut into blocks.
hope this helps.
at first it used to take longer to get the car on the lift than to do a whole oil change.
haha.
sucks...life of a modder.
