Default Body Kit Question, Paint Matching ~~ Need advice please.

I just had a replica FRP Nismo Body kit installed and painted, and the bottom line is the paint matching is terrible. I have not accepted the car yet what should I do? These shots were taken with no flash at about 6pm, with the setting sun to my back.

Look at that, I count 4 colors

not so bad here

ugh

There you go what do you think of the work that was done? What should I do, I have not accepted the car yet. I thought I would talk to you all help.

Yeah, it is ****ing terrible. One of my buddies said the best time was to go at the evening because you can tell the paint is off better in that light. But the place did not want to deliver until tomorrow morning, but I snuck in to take a peak In the evening light.

I'm at the apple store right now, wow I can't believe after two months.. it's not like they only had the paint code and not the car right fukcing there. Have them fix it that is a disgrace.

And to think they had it in the showroom??

Like said the sides look good. The ends are awful though. Wich doesn't make sense assuming they used to same batch of base. The front doesn't even look like a shade of DB. I wouldn't let something that bad go out of my shop. Definatly have them to remix and repaint it.

Don't expect it to be an exact match though. No matter what anyone says you can never mix a perfect match. If it's off a hair it would be normal.

Yeah, I was just making sure you knew. I completely agree with you on that. The match is horrible.

find out brand of paint, and who mixed it (it may have been mixed at a napa or something and not in-house) its just so much lighter its hard to believe they would try to give it to you, they had to mix the color wrong or mixed the wrong alternate or something

Good. Hopefully they do a better job.

Colors are definitley getting harder to match, but they should be able to do it better than that.
