Which do you all think would look better on a Black Z? I think they would both look good, but I can't decide!

I like what I got, it blends them in, Im going for a dark appearance but not bland. kept the orange tinge, but blended it better, white would be totally opposite, if I wanted it to stand out I would have stayed with stock.

a freind pointed out that if they were totally gone, the car might look narrower, I was worried, but when they came they werent BLACk, just darker, so it didnt cause a problem.

 

I've got the smoked on mine and agree with everything ares said. I like it that way.

I saw the clear on JmanZ's ride and they looked nice as well.

i think both look better than stock... just figure out what you want to do.

another thing that I like, courtesy part pulled the smoked reflectors off their website, meaning Im ASSuming they wont be selling them, or atleast not for now.

which means smoked is quite rare, while white is... well it almost seems like 50% of the cars on here have white now.

I'm more of the fan of clear, breaks up the black just a bit

 

Does that require removing the bumper to install them? how long and hard is it to change them out?

Well,

There are quite a few posts on the install, so you can do a search on that...

However, from personal experience...I was able to get the drivers side one in with no problem, then came the passenger side. This side will drive you CRAZY if you try and do it without taking the bumper at least partially off.

I am NOT very good with taking things off, putting them back together, etc, etc...but Nissan did a great job making it pretty dummy proof. I was able to take off the bumper (halfway at least so I could reach up and get the marker on) and put it back together with relative ease...

Definitely give it a shot!

 

exact same for me, you go in throught the wheel well which comes off with 4 rivets and a screw, 5 minutes to do, easier if you remove your tire, but not required.

other side has the winsheild washer fluid in the way, but theres a few screws underneith, a few in the wheel well, and pop rivets up top. just screws, no clips, which is what I worry about.

its a fun job. reflectors are held in by 2 screws, easy to remove.

if you do lit reflectors thats not too tough either, just need to find 2 wires and clip into them. they are easy to access through the wheel well too.

 

Another vote for smoked reflectors.

I just can't stand the look of those clear ones for some reason.

 

That last pic shows the problem with the smoked... they look stock in bright light. I'm thinking about taking them off and applying tint.

 

I have the smoked reflectors. I think your choice should depend on the look you're going for your car. My approach was just like ares...wanted a more aggressive ominous dark look to match with my wheels. I think if you have wheels that are silver or have polished lips, i think the clear would work a bit better.

Install on the passenger side was a ***** not just because of the fluid tank in the way. The top screw threading was stripped clean at one part from the factory requiring some major force to get it to let go and this was while the car was on a lift and the underbody panel and wheel well opened up.
