Default Unknown CF dash replacement - prototype? production? Nissan?

Hey guys,

So I came across this guy on Craigslist who was selling some OEM parts and I called him up to see what he's got. He said his roomate used to work for Nissan and had a 350z but after some fights he went and got his own place and left a bunch of stuff.

Among the stuff I picked up a mint set of OEM floormats, OEM HIDs (brand new in box), a Z tube (passing on to my G35 buddy redlude97!), but this piece really got my attention. Of course I pretended like I didn't need it but bought it anyway.

It's a CF dash replacement which I have never seen before. Other companies make covers that are molded to the shape of the dash and you just tape them on - some kits are only on the surface, some are molded to cover around the center piece....this isn't like that AT ALL!

This piece actually REPLACES your current piece, it's like the CF has been molded onto the actual center piece, it has all the clips, etc to replace the stock one...so my question is: Is this piece just some bored guy whose gotten really good with CF and wrapped his whole center piece in CF? Or it is a prototype of some sort? It came in two NISSAN genuine parts box like all the other stuff he sold me!

I checked and this is NOT the evo-r or the suite-e cf dash kit

-Entire dash center piece is CF
-The shifter piece is CF too
-It has 2x2 weave
-The wrapping rolls all the way through / not cut edges
-Where the center 3 gauges are there are CF in there as well

PS I got a good look at it, it IS carbon fiber UNDERneath too!

If I told you I'd have to kill ya...lol I can't even say it's ridiculous (in a good way) I just ended up throwing out a stupid figure for all the parts - z floormats, new hid bulbs (oem nissan), z-tube, and these - and he said ok...after that you believe it I ran out of there.

I'm on the school computer.

So did it come with a new shift boot and all that jazz?

Can I have your new shift boot? My current one is really worn out and has some small tears.
