Another thing I like about the white-painted housing is that it makes the remaining reflecting surfaces contrast less, giving a better overall appearance. With black-painted 03-05 lights, the remaining reflector portions become too noticeable as they are contrasting against the black paint.

I left the chrome because i liked the look. The white wasnt OVER the top. Also it allows for my non HID brights to work to their fullest. The white although reflecting well does take a little away from the HID brightness.
As for the color match, this was painted by myself. Yes the color is off, however, it is very liviable and for the cost of that much PPW white paint and the pain it would take to do three coats (I think some of yall should learn how hard it is to paint pearlescent paints) it wasnt worth it when the plastic paint i used took me far less time and pain. This is my daily driver so i cant afford to have the car out of action for several days on paint when the plastic paint took me only 30 minutes.

I love the idea but the color is way off. If you are going to pay to have it done, then get them from www.clearcorners.com They do the color match job better.

Man that look pretty bad color was way off- I would have to see it in PPW not bic white-out white. I might just leave my 06 lights alone that last pic with the white out head lights just turn me off. thanks everyone for helping me out. think I will keep them the way they are or go gloss black.

PPW headlights done right!
I got in a little fender bender so I had them paint the headlight trim while spraying the bumper. I also install smoked diffuser lenses since I had the housings open. I think leaving the main part of the headlight chrome is key. Oh, and using the right paint!
