Not needed. Its an underbody spoiler/diffuser, not a cover. Part of the factory Aero package.

I would keep it on. It keeps the bottom of the engine bay cleaner. Why are you wanting to loose it? heating issues?

Oh..yeah...there's that "black plastic thing" too. Maybe a pic would be good, lol. The large black sheet of plastic around the wheels SHOULD be left on.

+1 on keeping under the car clean and smoother air flow. if it wasnt needed i dont think they would spend money on it.

Instead of letting it drag why dont you fix it? The underlining cover and wheel well plastic pieces are so easy to take off and put back on. IMO you really need to keep them on.

You should keep it on - not only does it keep the engine bay clean, it also does play a role in the airflow of the car. Mine was doing the same thing before I got another one - I had my busted up one all zip-tied to keep it on. Maybe look for a used one (I picked up a used one) to save a couple bucks.

Yeah it is just aluminum. If it was really titanium then Id shell out the $500 for one. Well probably not because everytime Id scrape it Id just cringe
