Default Nismo Titanium shift ****

Anyone have this or know anyone that has this shift ****? If so, how well does it function?

I have the black aluminum but went back to the OEM after a few months. It's sexy, but makes hard shifting way too difficult.

I'm refering to shifting compared to the OEM ****. My aluminum also was very temperate.

It's kinda light. That's cool if you like to feel everything as you're sliding through the gearbox. Makes shifting feel a little ratchety.

Personally I've wished that it was a little heavier. And a little larger near the top. And a little longer.

I went with this a DPE made one for only $40 shipped. Same round shape as the OEM, but about a inch shorter, and a bit heavier than the OEM also. I've also placed an order for a Nismo logo to go right in the the middle cut out area. The finish matches the silver circular trim around the shift box very well.

Shift **** is a little short, so I extended it a little and it feels perfect. I had the Nismo CF, and the titanium feels alot better. I can both pistol and ball grip comfortably. Personally, the best shifter I laid my hands on.

If you want a little more weight, the Trust/Greddy shift ***** are awesome also, and you'll save a ton of money.

What I'm looking for mainly is a similar flexibility that the OEM **** has. Stiff ***** make it very difficult to hard shift, maybe because of my clutch assembly, but I'm not replacing it anytime soon.

I have it and I think it's awesome!

Don't be discouraged by the first impression you'll get, when you see it in your hand. Yes it's tiny, but once it's installed, you'll get used to it and learn to appreciate its benefits.

One last thing, if you are concerned about the temperature factor, NISMO makes a black rubber one in the same form. Also, you may get some minor rattling if you don't remove the OEM washer. Good luck.

Ah, but different ***** can have different tactile feel or grip to them, though. So far, I have yet to find an aftermarket one that has the nice grip of the stock leather one, nor have I found a replacement with suitable heft. In this case, it's not about the actual shifting being faster/slower, it's just about the feel of it in your hands. It doesn't necessarily just have to be about the look.

I have the black rubber nismo, and its great! Never gets hot and fits well in my hand. Its also shorter than OEM so the throws feel slightly shorter

I have the black rubber nismo gt and after just one year it is starting to come apart. The rubber is separating from the top where the bolt goes. I found it to be small too but you get used to it and you can feel everything while your driving. I think I'll be switching to a round shift **** soon.

Yeah, I've heard that getting the shift **** off is a BEEOTCH!!!!!! I remember seeing a post where someone got so pissed off, the ended up cutting it off!!!!! haha

I would not recommend the titanium ****. I have a friend that has one, and like it was reported up above, you can't even touch it in the summer time. Maybe you could get a shift **** "coozy"? lol
