Thumbs up Mine's Front Lip Alternative

Hey everyone,

I have been looking high and low for a Mine's front lip, but every time I find one it seems that I'd be spending more than my monthly payment for it.

Does anyone know of an alternative to the Mine's front lip, or possibly know of a good deal on one? I'm trying to stay under $375 or so.... I'd like to grab an air duct as well sometime soon, but first things first.

I have looked at the Vielside V1 lip and it's "cousin" the Seibon (sp?) but something about them seem different than the Mine's lip... different to the point that I don't like them.

Something subtle as I will not be adding side skirts or rears.. not a fan of either.

thanks everyone...

don't even look at Seibon's...it looks NOTHING like Veilside or Mine. The Veilside lip in CF will run you at least $450. If you're looking to spend $375, get the fake ones from Jay(evor)'s V1 lip.

Your mind is playing tricks on you; the Mines lip is a dead ringer for the Veilside V1. If you want CF, go with Jay's from Evo-R; it's the same design as well.

Hmmm.... has anyone had experience with Mine's to know their quality? They sure are pricey.... Their duct is $600 by itself!! I'm sure that includes importing fees etc., but wow...

Quality is one of the best. If you can afford it, do it. But since it looks almost identical to the Veilside, I don't see a reason to shell out the extra cash.

Call me a victim of marketing, hype, or price, but this is the very reason I want to find this lip. I look at the Veilside lips and it seems that everyone has one. This is obviously because of popularity, pricing and quality... all good things, but if I go with this style of lip I'd like to go with the Mine's version.

Sorry if I'm giving everyone the run-around; that is not my intention in the least bit. I just thought I'd put my feelers out there and see what the experts say. Yes we are all experts in our certain respects because we drive and live with these cars... not just sell them.

I was hoping someone with personal experience with this product, or brand could chime in and give me a testimonial on it's fit, finish, quality, durability etc... It's not too late, maybe someone might say something during the coming week...

Thanks, I did that before even starting this thread... no response yet. I just want to make sure I'm not chasing a Unicorn or something...

Veilside may be the way to go, even though I may kick myself in the a$$ about it later...

I didn't skimp on my wheels (volks) and don't plan to do so on any of my mods just to get a "quick fix"... but I'm not trying to go the poor house either.

LOL, I wouldn't call going with genuine Veilside parts skimping in the least.

I see what you mean, my message read that way.... I'll say it plain and simple...

"I want the Mine's because it seems hard to find and costs more than the others..." LOL Now that's honest, maybe not all that bright LOL ...

Just as long as its not a hood. My veilside hood is the worst fitting body part I have on my car.

I hear the Veilside v1 lips are a good fit though.

Good question, this would result in being "higher quality and durability" than just a simple clip on lip (I assume)...

This is not just about the "look" I want to have a lip that will last the life of the car, as long as I take care of it. I want to make a purchase that will not be a quick-fix simply for looks.. If that were the case I would be on e-bay and not here...

If have I have to budge past my $375 price limit then I will for quality...

True dat; their hoods have issues. The lips are top notch, though; I have the urethane V1 and quality and fitment is perfect.
