Default Hatch Help!

i have tried searching and searching and still couldnt find my answer.
i am trying to take off my OEM hatch to install another hatch. Any threads? DIY? HELP?

just a few bolts, you should be able to figure it out as you go along
hardest part is getting the wires for rear wiper out cleanly. i suggest a huge industrial size ziptie to help

ahh im so lost. thanks for your help though. i dont think ill be putting the wiper on my new hatch. or the squirter.

lol i dont know what wires will stick out with the oem hatch off... i guess ill find out today. also, can i use my oem shocks for an asuka hatch?

ok its on the car now. i just need to wait for the guy to come and install a window on it tomorrow. im using my stock shocks, but i think its too strong... but maybe the glass would weigh it down. no idea. what shocks are u using ELOHITE?

damn, without the glass, the shocks actually pop up the hatch. i just took the shocks off so i dont damage the hatch. will update with pics once i get the glass on! thanks!

There's a heavy duty kit being sold for the hatch. Sold by another Z enthusiast...Pure Innovations over at z-tech forum.
Also there's spiralfunk over at motoring selling the 2 tabs for the windshield wiper remover.

i actually need lighter duty shocks than oem, because hatch it a LOT lighter. anyways.. im still running no shocks.. and my hatch didnt come with the wiper hole, didnt want to transfer my wiper anyways.

BTW my aunts been BAGGGGING on my car. shes just a typical asian lady that think benz/bmw is the shiet. i told her im going to a show, and she starts cracking up saying "isnt your car a POS?" i mean my cars nothing great, but its not a POS. and she called my hood and hatch snakeskin... wow. ROFL!

We just installed one here earlier in the week. Fits well.

FYI, when you do the glass, you'll have to find or make a plug for the stock wiper nozzle or else water will get in the car.

^thats what i thought... so i stuck a towel in the hole when i washed my car. it doesnt rain much here, so i think i have penty of time for the plug. do u have any ideas on the plug??
