Angry Touch up paint NOT AVAILABLE? 2007????

Somehow, I got 6 small chips on the hood of my 07. So yesterday I go to my dealer for Carbon Silver touch up....I gave him my VIN# for the code. He comes back 20 minutes later, and says "That color is not available from the factory at this time, its not being produced yet". This cant be true, can it? When were these rides hitting the showrooms in Sept of 06? I gotta call Nissan USA....Jeez, and I thought K&N were dragging there feet with no dual intakes yet

You're correct, it's not available, along with Solar Orange...

Actually, the 07 arrived late, they were in showrooms for Feb of 2007.

I doubt they can mix from the VIN number, most places require the paint code. If Nissan hasn't published the formula yet, they won't be able to provide it except by color matching. That means you'll have to send them a sample.

Here's the paint code...K-5 Carbon Silver.
Try a automotive paint shop for the mix. Some even make & sell paints in spray cans in your color code.
Good Luck!

That would make sense. It took two weeks for me to get UY touch up.

No need to be corn-fused. They became available in the last week or two. Local dealers probably have them now too.
