I appreciate you think my interior is meticulously clean.

Let's get some thing out of the way:

1) I'm a guy with very short nails
2) I don't wear chains, watches, etc.
3) My Adamantium claws wear removed shorty after puberty
4) I don't use any cleaning agents in the car except for glass cleaner which I spray on a shop rag(blue paper towels)
5) The only time i clean the interior is for dusting purposes seeing as I drive with the windows down all the time
6) The other door is perfect since I always open a door for a lady(from the outside)

I mostly drive in the city and in Miami that means always changing gears, so I drive with my left had and have my right on the stick so I see no way to scratch my steering wheel on the right side. I'm thinking the steering wheel and stick is being cause by the heat when the car is parked out in the sun.
And, for the guy who said your hand isn't near that part of the shifter.....That's what I told the dealer.

So no one has this problem even on their volume ****?

i like everyones idea on why this is happening especially the animals who party in my car blasting the music

wow, this is the first z i see in this condition.
well i'm sure you dont take your car, to the new kids on the block, car wash and let them wash it, and your not ignorant about what you clean your car with, and most likely you don't have careless people in or around your car, right?
i can't think of anything else that would do this to your Z, do you drive with the windows down or sweat alot

Hmmmm.. what kind of glass cleaner? Windex?

Most household glass cleaners contain ammonia, which is definitely bad for auto interiors. I won't say that it's your problem, but it's definitely something to be wary of. Unless of course you're using something that's ammonia-free like Stoner's Invisible glass.

Glass cleaner ! You smuck ! Why cant you use interior cleaners that are made for cars and have uv blocking agents? This is all you man... but it should not cost you more that a few hundred to replace the parts. That is if you get them from the sponsors here and install them yourself.

For this to happen is simply impossible. Its never been heard of before because no one on this site is foolish enough to use crazy chemicals inside their car which prolly woulda' worked better at cleaning the driveway. Nissan will not give you an interior, we see through it as will they. You make the honest person who needs honest help from Nissan look bad.

Custom interior seems like your best option at this point. Let someone else do it though.

Maybe you misunderstood, glass cleaner FOR THE GLASS. You may want to read a bit more carefully before you start calling another fellow Z owner a "Smuck"

Wow I never knew we had Interior Experts who were so quick to diagnose, judge and crucify. God forbid something happens to your Z that other people including your local dealer is not used to seeing and they accuse you of being a thief giving honest people a bad name

I have a couple scratches on the drivers side door but not in the shape as yours but that always annoyed me. As for everything else I don't have those problems.

As for the scratches if you can't get the parts replaced, maybe you can consider it a good reason to buy some aftermarket CF overlays, new head unit and shift ****
