Default Is This happening To You?

I finally got tired of seeing these blemishes in my car and took it in to Maroone Nissan of Miami. After just 4.3 seconds, the head service tech informed me that this "scratches" are just normal wear and tear and would not be covered under warranty. To give you some history on the Z, I bought it new on 1/25/07(yes I remember the exact date) it's 40 shy of 22,000 miles and I detail it at least once every two weeks.
I'm not even going to complain about the paint on the Z's because it's pointless. I'll just assume Nissan wanted to keep the weight down and only spray one coat of paint and one coat of clear.
I contacted Nissan USA and asked for their help only to have them call the dealer and tell me the dealers are Nissan's eyes and ears and it seems to be normal wear and tear, the person from Nissan USA(Phil) told me he would send the issue to some other department. I offered to send picture and was told that would not be necessary.

please let me know of any issues you may have had similar to mine and also issues of dealers not wanting to honor Nissan's warranty. I plan to forward all your responses to Nissan USA.

The only thing I have like that is a small scratch on the garage door/HomeLink button and my Z is almost 3 years old. That is total B.S. if the dealer and NNA is not trying to stand behind their product and make this right for you.

wow - no mine is nothing like that! I have an 04 and i bought it used off someone. there is definately something wrong with yours if that is an 07!!!!! Are you sure its not something you are using to clean/wipe down the inside when you detail? That ain't right. i would be irrate with that happening on a car only 7 months old.

They're actually my neighbors 19" from his M3, too bad they are not the same bolt pattern.....too bad cause they're $1800.00 with tires. Wanted to see what they would look like so I just placed them in front of the rim. It made me start looking rims w/o lips.

I doubt that we are getting the whole story. How many miles were on the car when you bought it? I know you said new but define new. Scratches just don't magically show up either and I doubt that it is just peeling up in the form of scratches. Is there some product you use on the interior eating it away? Not calling you a liar or anything but I have a 2003 with 41,000 on it and i still have yet to scratch the interior. Do you let a dog ride inside your Z? Even my pit has put his paws on my doors inside and this has never happened. Can you give us some more detail please. Is it really just as simple as they are there and I don't know why? I'm confused because it looks beat up.

misprint purchased on 1/25/06. I only use a damp microfiber towel. That is why I'm so upset. my black 1990 300zx doesn't have one scratch and it has 200k miles

Either you have a lemon or you are putting some chemicals or something that is eating away at your interior. Are you sure your microfiber towel that you used didn't have chemicals on it?

I had the same scratches by the driver side windown button. I took it to the dealership and they replaced it under warranty when I was at 15k miles. My homelink button also faded and they are replacing it soon under warranty. I have only 27k miles.

Assuming your car is 07, Nissan should definitely replace them under warranty.
