I was following one this morning and it seemed like there were only about a dozen or so LED elements in each light, althought the housing itself was fairly large, maybe 6" or 8" in diameter. Hey Ares, you're the expert on this. Couldn't that same type of LED element be used to make a compact "bulb" replacement that is as bright as the oem one?

they can give off light. but tho that company sells very very bright LEDs they are very narrow angle of output. for some applications I personally dont think thats a problem, such as reflectors where you want the light to go out. but if you have a case like the turn signal or something, you need it to shoot all over.
they can be bright. all in how you do it I suppose.

oh also, the reason there are no problems with using LEDs in the sidemarkers for turnsignals is because the lightbulb load is still there. thats what it needs. for those replacing that, check that company, they sell a 6ohm 50watt resistor for 5$. wire that in and the car wont know the bulb isnt there, no more hyper flashing or anything.

I bought a set of these LED lights A few months ago and was not able to fit them into the tube like socket maybe they were A different brand, did you have any problem?

I purchased them a while back off of eBay, I also purchased chrome amber turn singles that I actually had to file down slightly to fit. It looks like I will have to do the same thing with the marker lights they look just like the ones shown in the photo but they're just slightly to large. But very good quality actually the best chrome turn singles I have seen so far.

The following link is for the chrome bulbs

The next link is the LEDs that I'm having trouble fitting into the socket.

A Christmas tree light that's pretty good
Those chrome turn signals are from Japan did not have a brand on them, I have had them for six months now and they're working fine and nothing has melted off its just a very light chrome plating like a two-way Meera and about 60 to 70% of the brightness when light in amber but because of all the chrome reflecting in the front headlights it seems to be fine I just used them on the front and decided not to replace the rear one's because of safety issues I would rather have them full brightness.

DMONTE - not sure why you are having problems fitting the lights in. I actually wished that the opening for the lamps was smaller for a cleaner presentation!
Christmas tree light? Yeah, I suppose it is a bit out of place. But I don't think making it brighter would help out too much. The real problem is the stock yellow color contrasting with the HIDs, and any type of white LED will fix that up nicely.

I don't mean the opening where the single white LCD passes through the chrome headlight housing, I mean where you actually plugged the LCD into the black socket tube type harness is way too tight. Was yours also tight for you?

Sorry, I was confused. Yes, the bulbs all fit very tightly. I didn't have to shave any plastic but it did take a bit of persuasion.

Yep, I'm happy with the running lights. They could be brighter, but my main compaint was with the color. I didn't want something that would take away from the HIDs, just something with better color. I know they make 2 and 4 led bulbs in that size if you are looking for brightness.
