they're a little more straight-edge than the "mad" eyelids, but i like them.

unfortunately, a camera phone was the best i could do.

I like how some people mold their eyelids, the headlights remind me of a Porsche. Anyone else think so?

 

Tell me you didn't use black duct tape.

 

went to the vinyl shop and bought gloss black vinyl. (they are not fiberglass. i wanted them more for protection of the lights than looks considering i travel by interstate frequently.) then, i came home and started sketching on the back of the paper that the vinyl is orginally stuck to. i put it up to headlight itself and traced the edges. next, made the cut out of the first headlight. next, i mirrored and traced the first eyelid to make one for the other side. then, i applied the vinyl to the lights using a solution of 5% baby shampoo and 95% water--spray the headlight, then spray the adhesive side of the vinyl. next, i applied the vinyl and used a decal/window tint squeegee to remove the bubbles. next, i continued to squeegee while using a blow dryer to heat and seal the vinyl. the job can be done in under an hour and a half and for me it costed $27 because i got high-quality automotive vinyl, and i got enough to make 3 more sets in case my first set gets damaged. and if i get tired of them, i can always take them off and wipe the headlight with a towel. i'm sure the job can be done for a lot less money though. ($5 -$10)

 

where is that one thread where someone posted pics up from a Z in NJ that had used tape for the taillights and headlights.
