Default Lights seems dim...help

Hi all
i am from canada and i bought a 04 350Z from the states few weeks ago...and when i shipped it here i needed to put on daytime running light coz its the law here...so i did that...and i recently installed a hid kit(mine didnt come with it) 8000k...it seems kinda dim...i know 8000k doesnt give out too much output but still it seems a little bit dim...i used to drive a honda accord and that one seems brighter than this one... could it be some wiring problem or its suppose to be like that...help me!!!
i will try posting pics asap...

All Z's come with HIDs. The newer ones (06-07) just have the Bi-Xenon projectors.

What did you use to convert it? If you used something aftermarket, wouldn't it make more sense to just use whatever Nissan did to make the CA one's comply? Might be a less buggy swap.

I think it was before 05 or 06 the base models had halogens, enthusiast and up were HID's.

earlier base models have no HID

do yourself a favor and swap to the 2006 lights - there is absolutely no comparison between the early and later lenses, even in HID equipped cars. It is a dramatic difference

its the 8000k output, its probably close to the same as the halogen output, and puts out a color that makes it even harder to see. The 03-05 headlights already have poor HID performance, and you just exaggerated your problem by using 8000k bulbs

Ahhh base model ftl...thanks for the correction all.

I have an Enthusiast and think my lights rock...guess ignorance is bliss. I'd rather spend the $ on a tune at the moment.
