call it rice, distasteful whatever you want...but obviously there are some advantages to big wings considering all the top tuners in Japan use them.
Personally I couldn't care less what you do to your car, you're the one paying for it. But when you post pictures you have to expect that people are going to give you their opinions of those pictures. If you are going to get offended maybe you should think about whether you want to post pictures or not. If all you want is someone to tell your car looks great, show them to your friends, I'm sure thet'll all tell you what you seem to want to hear.
There are plenty of things the Japanese tuner market does that we would consider silly. Modifying vans is one. Big wings is another.
Sure, there is a theoretical (maybe even realistic) downforce improvement, but not at any speed you may potentially hit on the freeway.

I'm not trying to defend the big wing on the car, but if all you can do is compare civics with big wings to this, then you don't know much about the Japanese tuning scene.

if they really wanted to take advantage of having such a big wing, maybe they would have been smart enough to make a custom widebody kit to allow fatter tires on the back for more grip.
but it seems that whatever the japanese do we should.

I don't want to argue over the net...it's pointless
it's not my car either...just wanted to post some pics.
in my previous post I was just trying to give some reasoning behind the "big wing."
I expected negative comments about the wing....the only reason I responded to your particular post was because you used a Civic as a reference which I feel does not justify your point.
your point is well taken...however you do realize that you drive a Japanese car right?
therefore whether you are living in Japan, North America, Australia it is more than likely you will modify your car with parts produced in Japan.

so if all the top tuners in japan put ugly tacky black and white stripped materials on cars would you too....err nevermind too late
