03 HID question
K guys, please don't flame me. Just point me to the right direction if this topic has already been covered.
The driver-side headlight gave out on me today and I was wondering if I should go with aftermarket bulbs or OEM's. I have a 03 touring (HID) if you're wondering. Also, I notice our HID are pretty weak compared to the likes of BMWs and Audi's. Is there an upgrade to enhance the shinning power of my Fairlady?

06+ bixenons will get you better output when combined with phillips 85122+ OEM bulbs. If you just want to replace your stock bulbs, then go with phillips85126+ which are colorshift resistant d2r bulbs for the 03-05 headlights. They are slightly brighter than the normal 85126 d2r bulbs(200 lumens), and hold their original color longer for better output throughout their lifetime

how about if you already have an aftermatket starter and ballast, can you just change out any bulb you want? I have 6000K, these particular bulbs have a more purple tinit to them and I dont really like them; I am looking for something more white. thanks in advance.

Thanks Redlude, for the 85126+ part number,
pimpsta, I found this guy on ebay that has a pair of those for 80 plus 9 shipping.

I'm still trying to find the part locally in LA. I need to replace it ASAP. I don't need to give the cops an excuse to pull me over.

I have to remove the whole headlight housing because it has moisture inside of it. (Recent rain in LA and all those puddles)
I found a how to in this thread.
