I AM GLAD you proved us wrong. That is an awesome fob! Looks like it can simply be added to our Zs ECUs as an additional remote, based on what you said the tech did. If so, that would be a simple 10 second procedure.

Well, I tried this, took the gamble, and lost. I bought an Infiniti key fob like this (brand new) from eBay, and it would not program. Does anyone have more insight into this
Before I bought it, I got the FCC ID Nos from both fobs, and did a check on the FCC site and found out that both remotes operated at 315 Mhz so with that knowledge and the posting from this thread I thought all was well. And ya know, I really hate my remote fob, it really is a cheap POS (the icons have e rubbed off the rubber buttons and the plastic is breaking around the attachment hole). The new one is so much better, too bad I can't get it to work.

^^^^Yep followed them multiple times. I can reprogram my original ones, but the new one - nothing. I even opened up both the original and the new one, they take the same battery. I swapped batteries, and the battery in the new one is good.

I got an 05 G35 and I was tired of the key and remote being seperate. I just purchased a VW keyfob switchblade key. Does anyone know what i have to solder together to make it work properly? I know I have to hack part of the G's circuit but I don't quite get it.

For the guys who are trying to get teh Altima key like me, i just spoke to my friend and the tech who programmed it on my car. He said that their is two types of key fobs. He said he doubts the cheaper ones on ebay will work. I'm trying to let him type it out in a message so he can explain it better. But he said the keyfob at the dealership for the altima that is 100 bucks and more is the one you need.
