Default painted headlights...

i know i have seen headlights painted black, flat black, and red.... has anyone painted their headlights any other colors? i have an 07 ppw and was just wondering if i should paint them or not, and if so which color (black or ppw to match the body) the reason for black is i am going to be gettin some CF stuff and it would match nicely but i have always wondered what they would look like in ppw, so if anyone has any pics or anything post up and lemme see, any info would be great

thanks

i have been to mrzipps.com but they only have black, interlagos fire, and gloss black... i think they have just regular gloss too (idk if that is just clear coated or what) is there anyone with good photoshop skills that could photoshop an 06+ headlight that is painted black and turn it to white (along with the car) from mrzipps.com? i have absolutely NO idea how to photoshop which is why i am asking.... thanks again

I can paint your lights white for you. Let me create another thread with some lights I just painted for another guy (keep an eye in this section, it'll just take me minute). They're black, but I've done white before (as well as many other colors).

Does this include the whole headlight? I would have this done if the whole thing is painted black. I dont like how part of it is painted and the rest is left in that chrome look.

There is a limit to how much can be painted before you lose brightness . Be careful.

I painted my own car, in it's entirety, and I'd still let a professional do the lights - I just didn't feel comfortable doing it myself

Painted satin black and also did a retro fit upgrade to the lense as well, by my friend Ceasar at www.lightwerkz.net . He does simply amazing work, and is very quick and very fairly priced.

Thanks for the caution. If you go to mrzipps website(black 350z on opening page), or if you think about some of the headlights you've seen where its all painted and no part is left chrome would this be categorized as lost lighting and how significant is it?

I think I answerd that question in a PM no? If you have the 03-05 lights, you will lose 90% of your brights. I know. I painted mine 100% black. Looked BAD ***, but don't plan on using your brights from then on out.

Its a 2006. You said you loose some of the brightness but thats a little vague to me and its not the earlier headlight. Will i still loose brightness on a 2006 headlight and is this only for my bright headlights or both regular and brights?

Oh. 06? Then no. You'll be fine painting it 100% black. Will have no effect on light output.
