Default Power seats...

I have an enthusiast and being a person who adjusts my driving position based on how I'm driving or what kind of mood I'm in, the manual seats become a big pain in the butt while moving...

I've heard of someone having the seat heaters added in with leather (I'm not too concerned with those seeing as I live in Vegas) but no one has mentioned adding power seats yet.

I would love to retrofit my Z with power seats, factory or otherwise, and it looks like the mounting for the switches is already on my seat, as well as some wiring beneath the seat.

Do any of you (maybe ones with the coveted technical CD) know what it would take to add this option?

Thanks.

hmmm, well I dont know the specifics, power is limited to the leather seats, so gotta wonder if the leather seats arent different in some way structurally, that allows the movement... but either way... the mounts would have to be fabricated, as its unlikely nissan would sell the parts peice by peice, might be easiest to get a quote on a whole new seat.

like what if my seat just broke... the whole thing caught on fire, and burnd up, need new motors, and seat, theyd have to get it from somewhere right? how much would that be? probably way more than you want to pay. but I think thatd be the cheapest option of getting a power stock seat....

well, power seat is limited to leather cause only the touring model has it. I'm pretty sure the seats are the same as cloth ones (don't see a difference in the service manual).

I think you would have to search around for an aftermarket power seat kit OR get one from a junked touring Z.

call Z1 performance I think it is.... they have lemanZ old totalled touring, the seats are trash cause the windows shattered and it rained on em. but the motors and controls might be good still.

dont expect the slightest deal on them tho, the guy gets top dollar for everything. maybe 50$ off brand new, but you cant get this brand new, in which case he told me 2grand for the nav system....

Well if Z1 Performance in NY is the right place, they have a Z but it's definitely not junked!

There must be a way...any suggestions on aftermarket power seats?
