Default Stock Spoiler Installation Template

Anyone got one? I got a vertex spoiler and I need to drill holes and they look like it utilizes the stock holes so I'm looking for anyone that may have a template or access to get a template. I'll put out I swear

Also if anyone knows where I can get one. I've tried asking my dealer but they seem incompetent.

Or if you have other suggestions on how to get the holes exact i'd appreciate it.

I have a paper template for a stock (track model) spoiler that I'll give you. It's too big to scan or e-mail. Send me your name & address and I'll send it USPS.

David, I too could use a copy of the stock paper template if you could make a copy somehow, considering acecss to maybe a plotter at work...hint hint.

Let me know if this can be done please.

Okay, I'm resurecting this thread because the original deal fell through as the template is lost.

Anybody else out there have an OEM spoiler template they'd be willing to loan, give, sell? I'm willing to make copies for anybody else that needs one if we can just get a good template.

If you find 1 I too could use a copy, even willing to pay a nominal amount of $$$$

My spoiler came with a really simple but nifty mounting templete that you could use on probably any spoiler.

Of course no pics but you could make one.

They are strips of plastic about a 12" long. The strips are about the same size/dimensions of a medium to large sized zip tie both in length, thickness and width.

In the middle there is a tiny 1/4" high tube that is meant to go into the threaded part of the spoiler. In the center of that tiny tube is a very tiny hole, just big enough to mark off your hatch where you need to center punch a drill.

Worked great.

Or you could use those sticky back felt pad things you find on the backs of kitchen cabintes. Stick them over the spoiler holes and coat them really good with a black sharpie.

Finally got my Nissan template, this thing is huge!! It is the weirdest template you have ever seen, it is strange but has the correct holes, I will post all the instructions and parts and tool lists also. Probably 18' wide and as long as the back of the hatch, tried to use the plotter at work, got busted. I can take a spin to Kinkos on Wednesday and have them scan it or copy it, then either post on here PDF or mail out copies. Anybody have any ideas on how I can post the template on this site for everybody to use??

If you can't get it scanned at Kinko's or something similar, let me know. I work for an engineering company and we have some huge scanners/copiers. I'll see what we can do to get a copy scanned.

If you can get a PDF, let me know and I'll see what we can do to get it loaded on the site or use one of the other "picture" sites to store it on.

why don't you guys just make a template?

get a huge piece of paper... trace the bottom of the spoiler, hole locations and all... then cut it out and tape it to your trunk.. The most accurate template ever because it's exact to your spoiler

mine is actually the vertex spoiler, and it uses the oem mounting holes.....so i'd like to get the actual template for oem piece.

Anyone know if you can just buy the template by itself at the nissan dealership?

Nissan doesn't sell the template and it can't be ordered via parts. I've tried.

So long as you have the exact hole locations, just in case you forget a drilled hole that is not in the right spot has to filled & painted. Just wait I am going to FedeX Kinkos and will post up the OEM Nissan template late tonite or early Thursday morning.

Be patient with me people, so many members have helped me out in the past, this is my turn now.
