has someone ever put an 03-05 front lip on a 06-08 front bumper?

you can't. you need a lip that's made for the new bumper.

I did,
but wont suggest it.
It took a long time and material.
We mounted the Elia Frontskirt on a 06.

 

The first stickied post in here is about 06+ lips.

 

It's doable but needs to be modified, my body shop said extra 200 to make it fit.

 

Anything could be modified to fit. You could put on a G35 kit if you really wanted to, doesn't mean it's practical.

Check out the marketplace for 06-07 lips.

 

The money you spend to buy and modify an 03-05 lip to fit your 06+ is greater than the money to buy an 06+ lip. The problem is that you probably found a lip that you want that has not yet been made for 06+ front bumpers. That's what I ran into which is why I 'settled' for the Veilside lip, although there were probably a couple other I would have rather tried.
