Default problem with my power seat install!

i recently bought used burnt orange leather seats from a member here. he says the seats worked fine before he sent them and im inclined to believe him hes a nice guy. so im going to assume somehow im messing this DIY up that the site has. i connected my passenger side seat and the seat will only go in one direction. so i know i have power and a good ground. i connected to the switch exactly how they show on the DIY. running a power wire into the red wire between the clip and the actuall switch on the seat and same for my ground(black wire). and left the sky blue and the white wire alone. i connected the plug into the motor itself with the yellow and blue wires. then i connected the clip closest to the seat switch. my only assumption is im doing something wrong (i dont know what i could be doing wrong) or the seat switch is broken.

heres the DIY i followed
https://my350z.com/forum/showthre...ght=power+seat

also after i attempt the driverside tommorrow if i come to find out the switch is bad does anyone know a good site i could find a replacement oem switch for a 2003 power seat? i assume the motor is fine since it will still go in one direction but just not the oposite...
