Default Color change for my super black?

Iv been tossing the idea around of doing a color change when I do my body kit this summer , Iv been quoted 2k - 5k from a few shops to install the kit and paint.

Now the question is should I just leave the Z black or should I repaint it a different color? I am stuck between a emerald green , Toyota supra RSP blue or just leaving it black...what do you guys think about the price quote and what color?

If your wondering im going V2

I'm a huge fan of Emerald green. Gotta be metallic though.

RSP will look ugly on the Z. Looks better on the supra or the civic si. electric blue pearl on the civic is very close to RSP.

You're going to pay for a color change. Look for atleast $5k on the low side.

+1

5k to repaint the entire Z? Sounds scary...you know the adage: if something sounds too good to be true it probably is.

Actually 5k was an accurate estimate a couple years ago, but as you know paints are petroleum based and the cost of gas has been increasing...I got an estimate here in Dallas at a well-regarded shop for 8k, just FYI.

I personally don't think either color will look good on the Z. One color I actually tossed around was the green on the the R34 NUR Spec II? I believe it is. If I'm not mistaken the color is only on one of the higher models for the R34. I figured that, V2 kit, and Works VS-XX's and it would look sick.

Exiled Lakai took his SB to the same white on Supras. Paint code 040. Turned out BAD *** and I think he said it was fairly cheap??? I wanna say like 3k or something? His thread is in this section a couple pages back.

Emerald green could look very nice...and it is unique. If you are going to pay for a custom paint job, get a color that isn't close to factory offerings!
