Default Red Carbon Fiber

I searched and couldn't find anything so here it goes. I am looking for a red carbon fiber hood for red Z. I don't want it painted red I am looking for something with red fibers.

also if this doesn't exist does anyone know if I could put a red tinted clear over a carbon hood to achieve the same thing.

thanks

Mike

^^ +1 on the right track.

Kevlar is yellow.

Prob just synthetic red fibers

Guarantee'd not to be 100% real carbon fiber.

Actually, Kevlar can be numerous different colors. Here's a red carbon/kevlar hood.

The natural color of Kevlar is yellow.
The natural color of Carbon Fiber is black/gray
The natural color of fiberglass is white

Kevlar is also more expensive than carbon fiber.

thanks for the help. does anyone know of any other manufactures who can make a carbon kevlar or other synthetic material hood for the z in red?

and has anyone ever tried using a tinted clear over carbon fiber to give it a different color?

You can use a Candy color to do the change , I have had it done in the past with my Cooling plate and Covers

My suggestion is to go 100% red kevlar if you want it to match redline red... Skip the tinting or mixing with CF, it always comes out looking crimson..

I think that red kevlar hood that is pictured on the deftracing site might be mine from 3 years ago.. that was the same exact picture that some dude sent me while it was being made.. I didn't buy it from deftracing however.. There must be some 3rd party making these hoods in Cali.
