Default Headlights - Replace or Upgrade?

Hi, I have an 04 Roadster over in Australia which has Halogens. I am reading up on doing the HID mods and trying to figure out the best way to go. I have two options but don't know which way to go.

1. Go to wreckers and buy two 05+ Xenon lights and replace the whole things? Not sure what that would cost yet though.

2. Buy the HID bulbs and Ballast and mod the lights I've got. From what I have read Visionbulbs have the best kit is that right? I will probably go for the 6000 kit. What does that cost?

Thanks!

Xenon and HID are one in the same and 1 trillion times better than halogen which come on base model 03-05 Zs.

Thumbs up

Surprise. I've owned cars with both, & see better at night with the Halogens.
BTW, which are cheaper?!

If you want to move to better OEM Z lights, go with the '06+ bi-xenons; '05 had the same HIDs at the years prior. Much better option than even the HID conversion on your existing lights.

It all depends on what kelvin temp your running for hid's. Most people go for the riced out look and get ones in the 8000k to 12000k range, these temps will never beat a good set of halogens but if you go for ones right at around 4000k they will destroy any halogens on the market for light output in lumens.

So it is definitely better to just replace the whole light? I am sure there are other differences in my 04 lights (to the 06) that will effect the performance of them even with the HID and ballast upgrade compared to an OEM HID right?
