Default ricaro seat install issues

Hey guys just wondering if anyone has installed Ricaro seats in there 350Z convertable? I have a 2004 and installed the seats months ago but only had nice enough weather to take it out last weekend. Problem is that the top won't power down now because the OEM pass seat is interlocked into the top retraction proceedure. I have emailed Ricaro to ask if they have a fix but haven't heard from them yet and the wife is pissed her top won't go down now
thanks, Gord

you posted a question that you couldn't figure out on your own to the forum...why not contribute to the forum by posting the answer too, this way a person looking for the answer a year from now is not left with a dead end?

I did what the link described, took the white box from the factory seat and plugged it into the factory harness, presto top goes up and down again. I would have posted a fix but it seemed SOME people were more interested in makeing fun of my "cheap" seats than offering advice...but when Pep boys or Canadian tire start selling those cheap $5,000 Recaro seat sets maybe I'll buy anouther set to put in my 71 skylark.

Yep, the wife wanted new seats and when she sat in one at Sema it fit her perfect....so she got new seats and I'm 5k poorer . When I brought them over the border even the guy at Canada customs couldn't believe the price, then he charged me 13% in taxes more..

She was alittle upset when the top wouldn't go down although but thats all sorted out now
