Default Does anyone feel like it's difficult to mod a San Marino Blue?

I haven't even really began thinking about visual mods, except wheels/tires, but I was thinking that of all the colors, SMB is probably the hardest to find good looking mods. For example, black wheels went great with every available color for the Z (except maybe Brickyward and Interlagos Fire), until SMB came out. The black to dark blue contrast wouldn't be as nice as black wheels on, let's say, a daytona blue, silverstone, or redline. The same goes for smoked tail lights, painting the top section black, and basically any carbon fiber parts. I feel like caliper colors are also limited to red and silver.

Anyone else feel my pain? I'm hoping to get wheels sometime soon, thinking gold would like good with the dark blue, since black is out of the question.

Gunmetal or dark grey would flow pretty well with the SMB.

I know a guy who put on some gunmetal 19" Piaa Super Rozza's on his smb and his car looks sick especially in the daytime. As far as carbon fiber goes I'm sure it will go well with SMB it won't be as striking as say against a ppw but it will be subtle and pretty pimp to people when they notice it. in person i've seen plenty of black Z's that have lots of carbon fiber on them ie. nitrouz, taytay and the carbon fiber looks sick as hell on their z's. i don't see why it wouldn't look good on san marino blue.

I think for this very reason, getting it right is just that much more awarding. Gold on SMB is sick...there's a member on here with a dark blue G35 coupe with gold challenges and veilside side wings. Looks good too

I've seen the pictures of the car you're talking about. You're right, it looks awesome. Along with the good color/wheel combination, the photography is also really good. Great pictures with great quality. Those pictures are responsible for persuading me to buy gold wheels in the future.

i have a SMB with LE28N Gunmetal with a nice offset. also i have a top seceret front lip and rolled rear bumber. i think the color is very easy to mod. it just depends on your taste and style.
