Default Modded my rear strut cover

just like the title says i "modded" my oem rear strut cover.i thought that the silver and the black plastic parts wonīt fit together.so i "cleaned" the cover and spray painted it flat black to match the black plastic parts.did this the first time ever....came out pretty nice....there are some spots and bumps left but i think i could life with those (not noticeable at all if you donīt know).
so here are the pics. just let me know what u guys think.

thx guys for the kind words....
@militia:you have to pop off the two side parts(donīt know the name, but first remove the upper two parts...but be careful ) after you removed the 2 parts just rip off the front and the back part(the 2 parts "under" the strut cover).you donīt have to remove the hole parts...just rip off as much as neccesary to get the cover out there
!the cover itself has also 2 clips! so be careful
and thatīs it.get a flat balck thatīs machtes the oem plastics and your fine

i personally like the Z on the rear strut brace, but i am not thrilled with the over all appearance. i def want to change it in some way, but not completely get rid of it.

your work looks clean though, nice job.

good work but now it looks like its missing something cause it goes from that pannel material to a smooth black surface back to the panneling material. Good work though.

so true..but how to achieve this???imo it looks nicer than before
at first i want to paint it db but that would look even more "plastic" than the silver.yes itīs still a compromise...but i think i could live with the pannel material to smooth to pannel.

as for the cover, good job. mine is a bit scratched and i was thinking about going a lighter shade but leaving the Z in place.

Default Nice

but I have to agree that it looks like its missing something. Maybe with a zenclosure box and a sub it might offset everything just right...but from my view...there is no contrast...everything in your car is black. Its a clean look..but not an eye popper either. Good work though.
