OEM Trunk Lip Help
Hey does anyone know if the OEM trunk lip requires any drilling? Or is it put on with double sided tape?
I called some guy at West Covina Nissan and he didn't know anything

I eyballed mine when i drilled the holes. Just take off the interior panel on the hatch and youll see where the holes should be. All i did was drill in the center of the holes where the wings screws would go and BAM! perfect fitment. I also used double sided tape along with bolting it down though. Also, make sure you use masking tape on the area where the hole would be so the paint doesnt chip off as you drill away.

About a month ago I bought a painted one off e-bay for $75. It didnt come with a template or screws but it had the tape already included.
I measured and re-measured the edges to esnure that it was equa-distant from all corners, removed the tape, and presto she was tailed.
The tape is quite strong and its held up prefectly through a few storms and several washes.
Don't worry about not drilling, it will be fine.
Also, I removed the dead-weight from under the hatch cover and it made opening and closing much easier. I would recommend doing the same if you notice any issues.

I bought mine off a member on here. I did not drill and it has been on my car for almost 1.5 years. Its on there solid as a rock. As for placement, I went to the dealer before they opened and measure the dimensions and took my time putting it on.
