Hottest paint job?

One that's done in an environment designed to bake on paint.

RE:> hottest paint job for 350z?

That would be a paint job (and color) that appears differently under various lightning. I don’t believe any of the stock colors do this, but a high-end body-shop can provide this if that is what you want.

Sorry Spike, should have done more research....Interlagos Fire, which is a limited edition 350z color only offered in 2006 (not to mistake it for the previous brickyard color). It changes depending on the amount of light.

That wasn't a stock color (and why I deliberately made that point).

^^ No it wasn’t.

It was not done in the factory, but instead by an aftermarket supplier as mostly an experiment (which failed).

^ although I do agree with you that is was a custom paint job, Nissan sold it as a limited edition color. I don't see how they failed on a limited edition.....that's exactly what is was supposed to be "limited," hence only offered for 2006. On my invoice this color adds $500 to the sticker.

IMO I'm glad they don't make this color anymore. It makes is IF owners the most rare 350z stock color! I tried painting my diffuser and this paint is hella expensive.....for just one pint you looking to spend at least $400 for paint alone.....yikes!

It was still a FACTORY color, regardless if it was painted somewhere else. BTW, which company was this "aftermarket supplier" that did the paint job?

It failed because it was not a successful feature selling more cars. In fact, it was a hinderance (buyers avoided the extra cost of a feature they did not understand or want).
