4 days into owner ship..already keyed!
I can't believe this already happened!
Me and my wife went to a family party this weekend, parked in corner spot with lots of room. No need to worry about someone even getting close. Leave the party drive home. Next day my wife finds the driver side door keyed! AAhhhh I could kill whoever did it.
Lesson learned- won't attend any parties unless they are immediate family.
From my observation and inspection the scratch did not go beyond the clear- but if I run my fingernail down I can feel it.
What do you guys recommend for removing the scratch?

What is it with the keying?!?!?!
What is it with the keying this weekend???? ugh...sucks
I was in Boac Raton, FL this weekend and someone put a 10" mark down the right side of my hood. I don't think it went beyond the clear coat (can't feel the scratch) hairline - I think it's more of a mark - lucky I guess.
Any tips on how to remove? I put a coat of Mequiars wax however it's just wax and did not remove the "mark". I mainly did it to protect for the short term till I was able to post this message.
This in advance.
Catch those keyers....

Sorry to hear about your incident. First time I moved out, my Accord Coupe got vandalized...it was done up pretty good so some punks probably were just hating. In any case, I love keeping my car clean (going to test drive a Z very soon) and I like eye candy...not overly done but very simple and zen-like. In any case check out this link to fix your scratch... http://www.autopia-carcare.com/rechsc.html I fixed a handful of scratches both deep and light right before I threw my car into Hot Import Nights this past weekend.
I'm just paying homage to the R33... one day I'd like to own a GTR but that's after snagging my degree and getting a comfy job. btw, that's a reflection of the sky on the hood.

Well, I'll be attempting to buff it out with some meguiar's x-out then polish and wax. Worst case is that it need to be professionally done or repainted. I'll take some before and after pics.

good news, the Meguiar's X-out did the trick. The scrath is not completely gone but if you don't knoe it's there you'll never see it. The pics I took didn't come out to well. But I'm pleased with the results. Whenever it does go in to a body shop for any other reason I'll have it buffed out professionally and I'm sure it'll dissapear.
I went with the x-out then some Meguair's gold class wax. Since I only did a portion of the door I'll be waing the rest of the car this weekend or whenever I get a chance.

damn...stories like this make me wish you were allowed to kill some people without repercussion....you see someone keying your car...you should be able to shoot him on the spot...no questions asked. They don't have respect for your car...you don't need respect for their life.
