did you already purchase it? can you confirm if it is a one-piece or a two-piece?

I had such a hard time with the headlight covers, trying to get them to fit, that I ended up scrapping them both about 2 hours into installing the first one. I wouldn't want to mess with the roof overlay, but more power to ya if you want to give it a go and post about it. I have no idea about it messing up paint.

I had it, but removed it. It started to look like crap after a few months.

Do not give your painter 200 bones, you would be left with 6 bones in your body.

My painter quoted 300 bones so I would say 200 - 400, matters what type of shop your goingt to and who you know. Maco will give you a deal but a shop that deals in aftermarket upgrades and custom paint is your best deal.

having a spray bottle with soapy water and applying liberably before applying the overlay helped a lot for me (I've only done eyelids though). It allows you to slide the whole thing around to fit perfectly rather than having to lift, reposition and press repeatedly, which leaves bubbles and creases. Then once it's positioned perfectly, you can lift at the corners and get air bubbles and soap out. Once it's completely dry you use a needle to puncture the residual air bubbles and press - bubbles gone.

i wouldnt apply such a big piece of vinyl to your roof, its not good for your car.
check out cars who had decals on their car for 2 years, they take it off but the outline is there permanently...... sucks real bad.

Def paint. The overlay looks like CRAP in person, even when properly installed. 1 or 2 piece makes mo difference in that regard.

Mastergrade or Asuka Carbon Fiber overlays are guaranteed not to fade or yellow. It's another good alternative.

vinyl overlays are cheap and we all know what something cheap leads to...looking like crap or paying more to fix it in the long run
