Default 350 GT Badge

What do you guys think of this badge Courtesy is offering?

I didn't see anything about it on the forums so I made this thread. I apologize if there is already something pertaining to it.

I personally like it a lot. Even though it doesn't have the cool typography of the original, I love the red 'GT' lettering and I think the new font is pretty cool as well. Catchy in my opinion. The only thing I don't like is that the numbers and letters are connected. I ordered one yesterday, I'll try to take a picture of what it looks like when I get it on my car (silverstone).

Other opinions?

I figured as much, but no one on the freaking internet sells the Fairlady Z badge anymore.

I tried to order it from Courtesy a month and a half ago, and they took my order then apathetically ignored me. I am pretty sure they ran out of stock and have no plans of fixing the problem. Also, I looked around and the only other ones I could find were for upward of $70 dollars due to the jack*ss selling it knowing that it is hard to come by them these days. So, this is really my only current alternative.

I know a lot of people will say it's a "ricey" thing to do considering it isn't technically the exact model that the badge was designed for, but I figure since the car is a 350, and the badging says 350, only really smart people will know what is going on -- in other words, it isn't as bad as it could be.

I just hope no one thinks of me like they think of the Mustang owners who put Skyline GTR badges on their cars!

please don't do it.

i think it's ok to put fairlady z badges on since it is a fairlady z.

but a 350gt is for skylines aka g35 coupes. i don't think it goes well.

it's out of place.

imho

I called Courtesy about a month and a half ago about the status of the Fairlady Z emblems and the response that I got was that "Nissan of America will not let us sell them." BS or not, that was the answer... and about three to four weeks later they stopped showing the picture of the Fairlady Z emblem on their Exterior section of the 350Z offerings. Just FYI.

Thanks for the input, guys. You swayed me -- I clicked through one of those eBay links that Havok posted and bought one there, then cancelled my Courtesy order of the JDM Skyline badge.

Help sure comes fast on this site when a member is in danger of ricing his car! Thanks to Havok especially for providing the links. Decent deal for the badge, I guess!

Cheers,
richard

Just think of us as the R.I.C.E unit, kinda like a S.W.A.T team for cars.

I do have the 350 GT Badge on my G Coupe. Replaced the G35. It fits the car, looks great, and IMO separates the car from the sedan.

Just to confuse matters a little more...

In the UK the 350Z is being sold with either a base specification, or a GT pack specification.

GT pack comprises: Bose, electric heated leather seats, cruise control

so technically, I suppose us Brits could badge up "350Z GT"

more info on the UK Z @ www.nissan-350z.co.uk

Enjoy

All UK / European models do get the Brembos, Full Airbag Package, Oil Cooler, Stiffer Suspension & Improved Quality Interior.

Things like the Suspension tweaks, improvements to the Nav hatch etc. are all being adopted for the 2004 model year worldwide.

Ah well, looks like you folks on the other side of the drink get a slightly better deal. I guess that's the price we pay for having the car a year earlier. Your car will definitely be badass!
