Hood shocks with Carbon hood!
I have a OEM Sebion CF hood and would like to do hood shocks but not sure if the light weight hood will be strong enought to with stand the presure of being shut or opening.
Thanks Trey

You will need some struts that are meant for CF hoods. NRG has a set of 2/3 pressure for CF hoods. Several vendors on this board can get them for you. they are a bit pricey though.
I bought a set of the standard strength NRG struts and it cost me $120. They are also CF, so they'd go nicely with your hood. Most places that sell NRG struts have both versions. Just make sure you ask for the weaker ones.

the NRG set that are 2/3 pressure are specifically meant for CF hoods. They can be bought in a CF finish as well.

i bought a set of hood dampers from CTD-germany...worked pretty good with the stock hood, but they are way to strong for my FRP ING´s hood.
@Chris @ Migliore: would you also recommed me the 2/3 pressure version??

The NRG 2/3 pressure struts work great with my CF hood. After a few pumps they became easy to retract but are still strong enough to hold the hood up.
I dont see why they wouldnt work with FG.
