It all starts with an idea put into a theory then developed in a hypothesis and put to the test, in which it WORKS!!!

Critic me all you like. I still sleep well at night. Computer screens and keyboards people...just hold your tongue or grimy little fingers until the Final product.

I thank you.
LOL I love when ever you post. Its always so retardedly ridiculous there is nothing else on this whole forum I find more entertaining.

Black... is black.

Unless Dr. Venture's trade secret is altering the laws of physics, I am highly skeptical of his ability to retain the headlights full functionality.

No I'm pretty sure his trade secret is not taping off before going crazy with the rattle can.

So everything is just retarded to you all? Is that all anyone can ever write? See the thing i dont get is, why you insist on arguing about what someone else does? That is where the hysteria lays.

Here is the head on shot as if it were being looked at on the car. See the shine...exactly like stock. Mind you the Lens is not on yes, but that will also add and expand the shine as well..

I even took the liberty for Dukes sake, and placed both housings Stock vs Painted next to one another and had them both On. The shine is Exactly the same no matter how you look at it. And when shined toward the wall there is no difference. If needed I'll put those pictures up as well. So i am not trying to fight with you all just to be stubborn or a D I C K. I found a way that works to shine and im using it.

You know something i never got with going on a forum. Everything has it's facts, possibilities, and impossibilities that people tend to try and either succeed or fail. Regardless wtf do you all care so much about what another person in life does?

Truth be told Duke is not under any stress over this. The lights im modding for him are my stock original lights. So no harm is being done to his Stock lights. Im trying to design ways to make things work for the 03-05 lights and just showing the malfunction or improvements along the way. Is there really harsh critique needed toward me and or Duke for that matter. Ultimately what another person does for themselves is in their hands so who gives a fly what the guy does to his car. It's not yours so worry about your own Shhhhhh...

To me the lights look like they will work the way i designed them to. Final test is on the car. Im stressed myself that the idea i have may or may not be ok but we'll all see when we put them on. I either make it happen or fail bad then go back to the drawing board. It's that simple. Being crushed on a forum isn't helping either. instead of bashing the idea how about trying to think of ways to make things work as well. Thanks

I don't need the definition of black - if Venture is wrong, he's wrong. Not the end of the world for anyone here...

Let's wait and see how they come out.

I think the word you're looking for is "critique".

And the only reason anyone is critiquing you, is because you're coming off like you're some kind of engineer, or have some sort of trademarked secrets, or proprietary methods that no one else has access to or can't obtain by taking a trip to Home Depot.

I mean come on, how to get black to reflect in the way the original reflector did? Use high gloss black or high gloss clear coat? See what I'm getting at? You've said that you aren't doing all this for profit, but you sure do make it seem like that. And if you are trying to build a business out of this, you should really welcome as much criticism as possible, so that you know exactly what your target audience is looking for in a quality, functional product. But, your not doing that, you're doing it for fun, as you've stated, so there really is no reason to be all covert.

As far as critiqung Duke, several of us know him personally, and feel it is our obligation to let him know what we think of the direction he is going with his mods, be it positive or negative. So far, we've been quite positive, with the exception of the whole patriotic panda thing, and those 215's.

Well if your patient before i start telling the "secret" i may be wrong. Thats the only reason im just doing it and not saying anything cause if someone uses my method and it sucks, then crap on me ya know? So in other words let me finish the light and see the outcome, and if it works like we all want it to then i'll let you know the deal. So far so good though.

And I've fixed the spelling grammatical error as well.

That's cool, and I just want to clarify that no one is bagging on you for being industrious. In fact, I'm pretty sure we all fully support you efforts, but when you post something like this, you've got to expect some criticism along with the kudos.

Also, if you gave us some idea of your methods, we may be able to help you figure out a workable method.

You would certainly think so, wouldn't you?

If I lose a very small percentage of the light output due to this mod, it shouldn't be an issue. I guess it just depends on how much, if any, light output will be lost.

We shall see...

meh, who knows, I had tossed this idea around in my head a while back. though about maybe a black chrome like finish that would have high reflective properties, but I never looked into actually finding anything.

A good test would be distance, get the finished lights and untouched lights and test the distance in which they illuminate.

good luck to you, they look really good so far.

putting painted and stock together and lighting them both at the same time we noticed that as of right now off the car there is no difference in the shining distance of the beam.

well said

dr. venture, is your trade secret of coming up with theories, then hypothesizing, then designing where you get some of those rattle cans, put a sock on it and huff?
